New Owners Bring Changes to Bluestone Steak House and Seafood Restaurant
Bill and Sharon Tackett have purchased the Bluestone Steak House and Seafood Restaurant, located on the Northwest corner of 101st and Sheridan, and are developing plans for improved and expanded food and wine offerings.
The Bluestone Vision:
The Tacketts are long-time Tulsans who have been away for several years and were looking for an opportunity to return home. Bill previously spent many years with one of America’s largest foodservice providers and in that role he introduced Certified Angus Beef to restaurants in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Missouri and parts of Arkansas. Planned changes include a Sunday Brunch and an enhanced lunch menu to include more organic selections. The Bluestone is dedicated to “scratch cooking” with all food, including sauces, prepared on-site from fresh ingredients.
Wine lovers will appreciate the Bluestone’s dedication to the best wine drinking experience. Wine is decanted in lead-free crystal imported from REIDEL, a 300-year old Austrian crystal maker. “The serious wine person ,” says Tackett, “can taste the difference between wine served in glass and wine served in crystal. It tastes different. It tastes better.” Wine seminars and wine dinners will be added to their calendar in the very near future. You can check their website or facebook for more information. The Bluestone will also begin offering a new and expanded selection of desserts.
“We bought a fine restaurant and our goal is to make it even better,” Tackett says. “Quality is our constant focus and I would rather apologize for price than for quality. We’re not pretentious. You can come in black tie or blue jeans, just come expecting a great dining experience. We’ll do our best to meet your expectations.”
